Atlanta has always been one of America's great cities. Rich in southern culture, a city with a desire to rise to any occasion and a people that embrace hospitality and achievement with a passion. Unfortunately, a city, which once fostered strong families, has been eroded by poverty and crime. With some of the lowest test scores in the U.S. the ability of our children and youth to compete in the work place has suffered as well. We believe the hope for our future lies in our children's desire to embrace God's plan for their lives and become productive citizens. The valuable life lessons learned by baby boomers at home must be acquired elsewhere as the vast majority of inner city children are raising themselves. The Luke Project offers children and youth an alternative to the street.
